Mohun Bagan Super Giant continue shining in the Indian Super League as they once again come out victorious in a match that waited for late drama to decide the outcome of the game. Mohun Bagan traveled away from home for this fixture against Hyderabad FC who were desperately in need of a win. 

Hyderabad were not ready to give up and Mohun Bagan Super Giant did feel the heat of the situation as they themselves were under a certain amount of pressure after a poor performance in the AFC Cup match against Odisha FC at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.

It was 0-0 at halftime and Hyderabad made it ever so difficult for the Mariners to find their opening goal of the game. Attacks continued lashing on but to the despair of Mohun Bagan supporters, most of those chances were not converted by the team.

The pressure kept mounting until Brendan Hamill rose from the back to give Mohun Bagan the much-needed lead at the 85th minute of the game. A 1 goal lead is never enough and with intense action in the final few minutes, to much joy of the Mariners,  Asish Rai, scored the 2nd goal sealing the victory at the Kalinga Stadium. 

With this performance from Mohun Bagan Super Giant and a 2-0 scoreline, they now have 5 wins in 5 matches in the Indian Super League, and look firm at the top of the table for the time being.
