The comical mishaps of overthrow often lead towards unintended hilarity of the field. Something similar was seen in the recent shared video by European Cricket.

In a game where 3 runs were needed off 2 balls, the batter swung big but missed, deciding to run anyway. The chaos began when the wicketkeeper attempted a kick to the stumps but missed. As the batters ran for a second, a throw from the leg side aimed at the non-striker's end slipped through a fielder stationed near the stumps.

The batters kept running, and then came another throw, this time to the keeper's end. However, the ball bounced high, soaring over the wicketkeeper’s head and racing to the fine-leg boundary.

The miscommunication and outright clumsiness were surely a hilarious scene to be seen. 

After the triumph both of the exhausted batters celebrated with a hug while the umpire signalled the boundary. 

While most of the time cricket is now all about the seriousness, sledging, winning, and losing, and topmost form, these moments give away the human side as well and surely another laughing material in the green room.
