According to an Indian website the much desired Spanish manager Sergio Lobera who has been playing with a couple of ISL teams has confirmed his joining Odisha FC for the next year. Lobera has reportedly received NOC from his current club Sichuan Jiuniu. 

But Indian agent of this Spanish coach, Anuj Kichlu revealed on Sunday morning, "Nothing has been confirmed. Lobera is talking to Odisha FC. East Bengal might not be interested and they are in search of other coaches. I can say lobera has not yet signed of the Odisha club.

Incidentally, East Bengal, frustrated by Lobera's dilly-dallying attitude, is trying to rope in another Spanish coach Carles Cuadrat for the next season. Cuadrat was the coach Bengaluru FC in ISL 2020-21 season.
