After eight years, Kerala Blasters dream of reaching finals through the hands of Ivan Vukomanovic

This is the first significant phenomenon in the ten successful years of Indian Super League that the Manjappada brigade entered into the playoffs for three times in a row.

Ivan Vukomanovic, the former Serbian international and the current Head Coach of Kerala Blasters has perceived a milestone as the only coach to command the same team in three consecutive playoffs and completed the season with the club. This is the first significant phenomenon in the ten successful years of Indian Super League that the Manjappada brigade entered into the playoffs for three times in a row. 

On this occasion, Pritam Kotal, one of the most experienced Indian defender heaps huge praise on his current head sir. He responded “Ivan is a great coach. the intensity of his training is something I have never experienced before. His sincerity towards his team, the emotional support he gives to the team, these are irreplaceable”. The former ISL championed Mohun Bagan captain also added “we are going to enter the playoffs. Our goal now is to play well and win each of the upcoming matches. We want to play the playoffs at home. Hopefully the best will happen. After the playoffs, our main goal going forward is to win the trophy for the very first time”. 

Meanwhile, the Blasters are set to restart its crucial remaining ISL matches on April 3, 2024 onwards. The first one is against the East Bengal FC. Before kicking off in its home crowd, the Head Coach Ivan addressed “Some of the boys who are going to play tomorrow may not travel to Guwahati because they need to recharge and refresh for last game”.
