After repeated failures, Virat Kohli toils hard in the nets on the fourth day in Gabba

Except for a hundred in Perth, Kohli has been in miserable form throughout the BGT. He has just one double-digit score. In fact, in the last five Test innings, he has three single-digit scores!

Virat Kohli is not sitting idle. He is fighting with himself, trying to regain his rhythm after the disastrous show in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). The reflection was clear. The iconic batsman was spotted toiling hard in the nets in Gabba on the fourth day of the ongoing Test. India is struggling to save an innings defeat, with 167 for the loss of six wickets in the first innings, trailing still by 278 runs.

Except for a hundred in Perth, Kohli has been in miserable form throughout the BGT. He has just one double-digit score. In fact, in the last five Test innings, he has three single-digit scores! His latest came in the first innings at Gabba when he scored 3 runs before squandering his wicket, giving off a simple catch off a Josh Hazlewood delivery.

There is a huge chance that Kohli might have to go out to the crease today itself. India is still around 80 runs away from avoiding the follow-on. And given the huge score that Australia has raked up, Pat Cummins will enforce it.

But, in a bid to prepare him and strive harder to get success, Kohli isn’t leaving any corner untouched. He was spotted training hard in nets, facing touchdowns, eager to get back into his groove.
