The All India Football Federation executive committee, after a scheduled meeting on Monday in Hyderabad, has sent emails to all the I-League clubs bringing up an important condition that the clubs will have to pay half of the total production cost of the League which might make a huge additional cost for the club.
The clubs in a latest development have requested the AIFF president to attend a virtual meeting on Monday night. Before the AIFF mail reached the clubs, Ranjit Bajaj, owner of Delhi FC as well as the president of the I-league clubs association revealed while speaking to Parallel Sports on Monday evening, "I have heard we will be sent emails where such conditions will be put. In that case, we will also stick to the point that the matches must be shown on Sony Liv.”
It is believed that the clubs will stick to their point during the virtual meet that the I-League matches should be shown on Sony Liv. It is also believed that the AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey will be trying to pursue with Shrachi Sports regarding the roping in Sony Liv for the live telecast of the matches.
Shrachi Sports will make the live streaming of the I-League matches in its app. However, a meeting between the AIFF president, Shrachi Sports and Sony Liv representatives is likely to take place on Tuesday.
