The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has finally posted its audit report online for the financial year 2022-2023. The report shows the Federation's approximate income generated in the 2023 financial year, Rs 137 crores. 

The AIFF has been able to increase its income compared to the last financial year that ended 31st March 2022 as it was approximately Rs 80 crores. 

Significantly, the AIFF's expenditure also increased from the 2022 financial year to the last financial year from approximately Rs 63 crores to approximately Rs 152 crores and according to the audit report, the meeting expenses reached Rs 92, 33, 684 lakh which was approximately Rs 47 lakh in the 2022 financial year, disclosed through a tweet by journalist Ashish Negi on the social media.  

In a bid to reduce the gap between the total income and the expenditure the AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey recently revealed that the AIFF has to change its policy by spending money only according to budget. 

The president cited an example divulging that the chartered flight could not be afforded for the senior national team’s tour to Abha, Saudi Arabia to play their away World Cup qualifier against Afghanistan due to the cost that exceeded the budget. Chaubey stated, “We could not afford chartered flight due to the excessive expenses.” 

However, social media has been vocal about the AIFF's expenses reaching Rs 92 lakhs for the meeting only.
