
The opening match of the second phase of the I-league between Rajasthan FC and Namdhari FC has been canceled due to torrential rain in Punjab yesterday.
Aizawl FC the premier team from Mizoram that is at the fourth spot after Mohammedan Sporting, Real Kashmir, and Sreenidi Deccan had an impressive show in the first phase of the I-league this season almost without any head coach.
The team’s Dutch coach Erol Akbay left the team immediately after joining. Under the guidance of assistant coach Luangmuala Sawmtea Aizawl FC acquired a formidable 19 points from 11 matches in the first phase.
The club roped in Stojkoski Bobi, the 58-year-old UEFA-Pro-license coach from North Macedonia only eight days ago. Swawmtea revealed, "His coaching style and man-management skill have already attracted the footballers. We hope to reach within the top two in the League table during the second phase of the I-league."
Aizawl FC will resume the campaign in the second phase of the I-League on 10th February at home against Mohammedan Sporting.
