Alexis Gomez is now the anchor man in Mohammedan Sporting’s impressive show in their introductory ISL. The Argentine attacking midfielder has been playing a crucial role in the team's last three matches. 

Ahead of their first ‘big’ match against Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG) on Saturday at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan Alexis Gomez revealed they also aim for winning the ISL this season. 

While speaking to Hindustan Times the 24-year-old attacking midfielder also divulged the key factor behind their consistent show in the ISL so far despite being able to secure only one victory against Chennaiyin FC. 

He said, “The dressing room atmosphere is our key strength. The bonding of our team is a key factor behind our consistent show. We are a family."

Gomez also informed he cherishes the friendship within the team. “I really enjoy being with my teammates; maybe that's the best thing—that we are a good team and that laughter is never lacking,” he shared, speaking fondly of the bond that has fueled their success.
