India secured their first win in the 2024 U-19 Asia Cup, defeating Japan by a massive 211 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Defending a formidable 340, India bowled out Japan for 128, with Chetan Sharma taking two wickets in the final over. After a loss to Pakistan in their opener, this emphatic win earned India 2 crucial points in Group A and boosted their net run rate significantly.

Mohamed Amaan secured an enormous 122 runs off 118 balls. While KP Karthikeya and  Ayush Mhatre both secured a half century 57 and 54 respectively. On the other side Hugo Kelly secured a half century off 111 balls. While Charles Hinze and Nihar Parmar respectively scored 35 and 14. 

India concluded their innings at 339 off 6 wickets where Japan was bundled up at 128/8. Mohamed Amaan solidified India their first win.
