Aman Sehrawat, India’s youngest wrestling star, talked about his tough times and the tension before the game.
The youngest bronze medalist Aman Sehrawat talked about his mental pressure before the match. While talking to The Hindustan Times he said - “All eyes back home are on me. There are people watching my bout in my village, the entire country is watching me. What if I lose?”
Aman Sehrawat, India’s youngest wrestling star, disclosed about his tough times and the tension before the game. Previously, he already established himself as the first Under 23 World Champion.
He further continued - “I just thought I am not going to think I am competing at the Olympics. I will take it as just another bout in a state-level competition. I told myself it doesn’t matter if I win or lose, or what people thought, I will focus only on the bout and my game.”
The 21-year-old stood straight against all the hardships. Needless to say, it paid off as he wrestled against Puerto Rico’s Darian Toi Cruz 13-5 and claimed the bronze for India.
