Anindita is in search of Hubert once again to develop coaching skill

Anindita has been working as the national youth girls' coach and has gathered experience of participating in the junior World Championship and junior Asian Championship this year.

Mother of 17-year-old, Anindita Chakrabarty stole the searchlight of the media across the country when she guided Bengal to its second senior national championship title after 1997, defeating opponents almost half of her age.

The former India international has not stopped rather. She took herself through a transition and started her new innings as a coach. Being an employee of South Eastern Railway she was already guiding the South Eastern Railway team and then joined as the coach of the Indian Railways women's team.

Her coaching was promoted in 2021 when she was chosen as the senior national women's coach. Presently, since last year, Anindita has been working as the national youth girls' coach and has gathered experience of participating in the junior World Championship and junior Asian Championship this year.

When asked whether she is enjoying her coaching than her playing career, Anindita explained, “It is difficult to compare between playing and coaching career. But as a whole responsibility, development of man-management skills and especially tactical analysis of the games are added to coaching."

"I did not have to face any such difficulty as I played with those national players several times. I knew their psychology, their tactical ability, their intuition. Naturally, joining them as their coach it was not much tough to bring their best on the board."

Still, Anindita has a desire to improve her coaching technique and she is in search of a renowned coach Hubert Hustache. She explained, “The renowned French coach was the Indian women's national coach in 2004. That was my last international. Under his guidance, we won the second division of the World Championship and were promoted to the first division. Hubert had worked with a few former world champions.”

"I was highly impressed by his unique style of coaching and man-management skills. But after quitting the game at that time I was detached from the circuit. Now, if I get the opportunity to find him out I want to communicate with him again and take advice on how to develop coaching."
