Anush Agarwalla wins historic bronze in Equestrian Dressage Individual event

Anush Agarwalla's bronze in the Dressage Individual final is the first time India has won a medal in the category at the Asian Games.

Just days after being part of the historic Gold medal in the Dressage Team event, India triumphs yet again as Anush Agarwalla swiped bronze in the Individual event of the same, in TL Equestrian Center in Hangzhou.

The 24-year-old hailing from Kolkata India scripted history at the TL Equestrian Centre in Hangzhou as Anush Agarwalla won a bronze medal in the Dressage Individual event. The 24-year-old and his horse Etro were impressive in the 15-member final at the Games on Thursday.

Anush Agarwalla's bronze in the Dressage Individual final is the first time India has won a medal in the category at the Asian Games. 

The Kolkata rider's achievement comes days after the Dressage Team India already won a historic gold medal. On Tuesday, India's Hriday Chheda, Anush Agarwalla, Divyakriti Singh and Sudipti Hajela combined to give the country its first Dressage medal in the Asian Games history and it was the popular yellow metal.

Anush Agarwala, who was the second-last rider in the final, surged into the medal position with a fine show. He and Etro were awarded 69.900 technical percentage points while they scored high in Artistic - 76.160.
