The Indian Cricket Board is set to take a few strict measures for players, including new regulations concerning their families, after the 1-3 loss in the BGT. 

Reports suggest that during future overseas tours, players' family members may not be allowed to stay for the entire trip. For instance, on a 45-day tour, families might only be permitted to join for 14 days. In the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar series, the presence of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s wives at every match had drawn the media's attention.

Additionally, the board is looking into enforcing mandatory team travel on the official team bus. Virat Kohli has been spotted travelling independently on multiple occasions, which the board aims to restrict going forward.

The board is also reviewing the roles of the assistant coaching staff after disappointing performances against New Zealand and Australia. Abhishek Nayar, Morne Morkel, and Ryan ten Doeschate, who work with head coach Gautam Gambhir, might see their contracts limited to three years.

Gambhir himself, however, has a contract extending beyond three years. He was appointed head coach on 9th July last year, with his agreement running until 31st December, giving him a tenure of approximately three and a half years.
