Aryan build-up the team with all ‘sons-of-soil’; aim at Third division I-League

But now, according to the coach Arindam Deb, the team will need outstation footballers following injuries in the opening match.

Century-old Aryan Club is probably the only team so far in the CFL Premier Division this season that has built up a team consisting of all ‘son-of-soil’ footballers. Indian Football Association (IFA) has imposed the rule on each participating team in the CFL Premier League to field four ‘son-of-soil’ footballers in every match.

Aryan who has financial support from JIS for the consecutive third season has already started their campaign in the CFL Premier Division this season with a 6-0 victory.

But now, according to the coach Arindam Deb, the team will need outstation footballers following injuries in the team. "Four important footballers got injured in our opening match against Army Red. Now we need one or two outstation footballers to fill the gap, said Deb.

Not only all the son-of-soil’ footballers, according to the coach the first eleven that were fielded had hardly one or two footballers who have experience of participating in the CFL Premier Division.

The club, under the leadership of its former coach Raghu Nandy and his son Rajdip, also one of the coaches, scouted promising footballers across the district

Arindam Deb mentioned Biswajit Murmu and Santanu Naskar's name commenting, "Both of them are promising. I believe they will draw the attention of the Kolkata football fraternity after the end of the League.”

Aryan, along with the purpose of producing potential footballers from Bengal has also another aim. That is to earn qualification for the qualifier of the Second Division I-League (Third Division I-league). Simultaneously, the club also has plans to develop its traditional academy Late Dukhiram Majumder Memorial coaching centre.
