Indian women wrestlers finished with seven medals in the Asian Wrestling Championship 2023 at Astana, Kazakhstan on Wednesday. India’s rising star Antim Panghal, competing in her first International Tournament this year, bagged a silver medal. India is now ranked in the third position compared to last year when India won 5 medals and was ranked fourth.
Antim Panghal won the silver in the 53 Kg category, while Nisha Dahiya won the silver in the 68 Kg category. Angshu Malik, Sonam Malik, Manisha and Ritika has bagged bronze. 
Minister of Sports Mr. Anurag Thakur has twitted “ The women's power is making us proud every day. They have won seven medals in the ongoing Wrestling Championship and have ranked third. We hope for more improvement of the team.”
