Sanjeev Goenka made a big announcement after becoming the best in ISL. He announced that 'ATK' will be removed from Mohun Bagan's name next season. The owner of ATK Mohun Bagan Sanjeev Goenka, announced this while standing on the field in Goa.  He said “We are removing ATK, it will be Mohun Bagan Super Giants from next season. Well, it was something that was on the cards. I was waiting for the win to announce it,” Goenka said after the match.

Significantly, 'Super Giants' is also associated with the name of Sanjeev Goenka's RPSG Group team in the IPL. Like Lucknow Super Giants. Earlier in the IPL, when the Pune franchise was in the hands of Goenkas, the team was still called Pune 'Super Giants'. Now Mohun Bagan has also been added to the 'Super Giants list. In other words, he named the football team after Lucknow Super Giants in IPL.
