Bangladesh premier club Basundhara Kings has rejected Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s request to swap the home-away fixture with them in the ongoing AFC Cup.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant requested the Bangladesh premier club to swap the fixture with them where they would play their away match first in Bangladesh on 24th October and would play their home match on 7th November. Originally, MBSG was scheduled to play their home match on 24th October at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan (YBK) and the away match on 7th November in Bangladesh. However due to Durga Puja at that time, MBSG requested Basundhara Kings to swap the fixture with them.
Instead Bangladesh premier club has advised MBSG to make another request to the AFC to defer their home match for a few days.

Incidentally, Mohun Bagan’s Spanish coach Juan Ferrando must be anxious with the injuries of his two crucial footballers before the AFC Cup as well as the ISL. Ashique Kurniyan suffered an injury during his ongoing engagement with the senior national team in the King’s Cup according to senior national coach Igor Stimac. Suhail Bhat, the top-scorer of Mohun Bagan in the CFL Premier Division this season, also suffered a knock while playing with the Under-23 national team in the ongoing AFC under-23 competition in China. Both Kurniyan and Bhat have been included in Ferrando’s list for the forthcoming ISL this season.
