His association with Mohammedan Sporting as the team manager is for the last 25 years. He is Belal Ahmed Khan, one of the most instrumental executives at Mohammedan Sporting Club. He is probably the only whole-timer at Mohammedan Sporting Club. 

It has been his passion since he joined the club following a request from former club president Suleman Khurshid 25 years ago. He goes to the club tent every day. Even, after the team made a historic hat-trick by winning the CFL Premier Division on Friday, he was the only club official who was seen sitting at the club tent on Saturday morning. 

In his last 25 years of journey with the club, Friday was probably the most memorable day Belal relished, witnessing the hat-trick in CFL Premier Division triumph which happened in Mohammedan Sporting last from 1934 to 1938. 

When asked about the key factors behind the team’s success this season, Belal Ahmed explained, “I must say the team spirit was the key factor especially, the continuous encouragement our reserve bench footballers provided for the first team players. I should mention Samad Ali Mullick's name. He was the team's captain but did not get the opportunity to play all the matches. Still, Samad motivated the team in every match, during the interval and before the matches."

"All the footballers who had to sit on the reserve bench in most of the matches were equally active in inspiring and cheering the playing eleven. The atmosphere in the dressing room was brilliant. That is why even after the coach was changed it did not dampen the footballers' tenacity at all." 

Belal who has been the 'team manager' for the last two decades and is presently the club's assistant ground secretary admitted that the late Swapan Ball one of the most successful team managers of East Bengal was his idol. 

Belal added, "Whatever administrative jobs I have learned was from Swapan Ball. We toured a lot with the team while participating in different tournaments and he taught me how to play the role of a manager, especially how to deal with match commissioners in the meetings before the tournaments. He liked me a lot." 

Belal at the same time did not forget to give thanks to the club's current president Aminuddin Bobby and vice-president Kamaruddin. He said, "Both of them gave me the opportunity and the due respect also.”

Belal had praise for Dipendu Biswas commenting, “He was a great footballer. He can feel the footballers' psychology. He is so friendly that the footballers share their problems with him as they did with me. So I never minded when He was asked to sit on the bench as the team's manager. I believed he can motivate the players in need which many officials will not be able to."
