West Bengal’s athletes made a remarkable impact at the 38th National Games, clinching multiple gold and silver medals across various disciplines. Soubrity Mandal emerged as a swimming sensation, securing gold in the 200m and 100m backstroke and a silver in the 50m backstroke, reinforcing her dominance in the pool.
The state excelled in Yogasana, with Ritu Mandal (Traditional), Shilpa Das (Artistic Individual), and the rhythmic pair of Sarbashree and Sathi Mandal claiming gold. Jewelsakar secured the gold in archery (recurve individual) with a stunning display of precision, while Beena Shaw triumphed in lawn bowling with a well-earned gold.

In weightlifting, Shrabani Das (187 kg) and Achintya Sheuli (313 kg) lifted their way to silver. The women’s fours lawn bowling team—Renu Mohta, Manisha Srivastava, Reena Pawa, and Kinjal Shaw—also secured silver, showcasing teamwork and strategy.
