Bengal finish as runner-up, lose to Uttar Pradesh in the final

Bengal missed one of their regular midfielders Mohit Modol as he had to go back home following illness and two more footballers were plagued by high fever on the day.

Bengal did not have the last laugh as they lost to Uttar Pradesh in the final of junior national championship by 2-1 in Bhubaneswar on Friday. Tanbir Dey scored the only goal for Bengal that finished in the tournament as the runner-up.
