Bengal lets Saurashtra reach closer to the title courtesy lackluster bowling and fielding

Vasabada the team's vice-captain built up the two major partnerships with Jackson and Jani and reminded of his brilliant 106 in the 2020 final at Rajkot which ultimately steered the team to the title.

The duo of Vasavada and Jani got under the skin of Bengal on Friday from the beginning, capitalizing on Bengal bowlers' inability to deliver line and length, and penetration also. Even Bengal had to pay price for lackluster fielding as catches were dropped at slips in the early morning of the day. In reply to Bengal's 174, all-out Saurashtra were 317 for five at stumps on the day, with the lead of 143 runs so far.
