Bengal women, despite exhibiting an inspired performance in their group league opener of the National Games football competition had to be content with a 0-0 draw against fancied Tamil Nadu at Tilak Maidan on Friday.
The team's coach Dipankar Biswas, elated with the performance, revealed while speaking over the phone, "The score-line could have even been 6-0 in our favour. The girls dished out brilliant show, outplaying Tamil Nadu which had become a nightmare of Bengal in the women's football in recent years." Biswas appreciated the whole team, especially mentioning the midfielders like Anibala Devi, and Mugli Hembram and the strikers including Tulsi Hembram Moushumi Murmu, and Rimpa Halder.
Biswas is in search of the video clippings of Bengal’s match before they take on strong Manipur in their next group league match on 29th October. He added, “I want to show the match to the girls for the analysis before our next match. But I do not know whether it will be available.”
