Bengal again were forced to split points against Haryana in their third group league match in the Santosh Trophy in Punjab on Friday playing out a goalless draw. 

Now, Bengal after two consecutive draws are finding themselves in difficult position to qualify for the knock-out stage. Still they have a chance if they win their next two matches.

However, questions are being raised in Bengal football fraternity over the selection of the team as no positive left-back has been taken. Then despite having the footballer in form like Koustav Dutta, he is not being fielded. Questions are being raised that how the footballers like Saikat Sarkar, Sayan Banerjee, Sanjib Mondol who were consistent in the CFL Premier League were axed from the team.
