In a high-stakes semifinal clash of the 29th Senior Women's National Football Championship for the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2024-25, Manipur delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Bengal, dashing the latter's hopes of reaching the finals. 

Manipur's relentless attackers, Heman Shilky Devi (79'), Dangmei Grace (53'), and Naorem Priyangka Devi (55'), proved too much for Bengal's defence to handle. Their sharp coordination and clinical finishing showcased why Manipur remains a powerhouse in Indian women's football.

Despite the valiant efforts of Bengal's captain, Sangita Basfore, the team struggled to counter Manipur's momentum. Bengal, who had shown promise throughout the tournament, found itself outclassed in a game that demanded resilience and execution.
