Jay Gupta achieved the Player of the Game award
FC Goa and Bengaluru FC split points in the ongoing ISL match at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The match ended up being a goalless draw. The entire first half was dominated by FC Goa with their back to back attacks. Goa's defender Jay Gupta played amazingly both in the offensive and defensive positions taking three shots on target and making four important clearances. Contrarily, BFC had poor defense throughout. It is all thanks to Gurpreet Singh who did not let the opponent score as he kept making back to back saves, that BFC's goal remained guarded.
In the second half of the game, Bengaluru FC got comfortable and created few chances for themselves. However, even after numerous opportunities none of the teams were able to break the deadlock. For FC Goa Noah Sadaoui and Brandon Fernandes were absent due to injuries. Jay Gupta perfomed his defensive duties splendidly and achieved the Player of the Game award. With this game, FC Goa is now on top of the points table with 10 points in four games while, Bengaluru FC is in the ninth place with 4 points.
