Bengal’s women team destroyed Jammu & Kashmir 19-0 in their second group league match of the ongoing Rajmata Jijabai Trophy for the senior national women’s football championship at Krishnanagar Stadium on Monday.

Sulanjana Raul struck 10 goals while Moushumi Murmu, Sonali Soren and Sujata Mahato scored for Bengal. Bengal were leading by 11 goals during the break.

Bengal coach Sujata Kar revealed she wanted to observe the bench as seven footballers who played in the team’s first group league match against Bihar were rested on the day. 

“Karnataka will not be an easy opposition. We should expect a tough match,” said Sujata.
