Bharatiya Tarun Sangha wins Bidhannagar Gold Cup

Bharatiya Tarun Sangha defeated Dumdum Tarun Dal 3-0 in the penalty shoot-out in the final of second Bidhannagar Gold Cup on Sunday at a Salt Lake ground. The match ended 0-0 in the 90 minutes regulation time.

Laser show was conducted after the final along with the dance of cheer leaders, following the IPL style was another attraction on Sunday. Distinguished guests from Kolkata's sports fraternity like former Indian international and Member of Parliament (MP) Prasun Banerjee, Gautam Sarkar, Samaresh Chowdhury were present in the function. State sports minister Arup Biswas was also present. He appreciated the key organizer of the tournament, state fire minister and MLA Sujit Bose for staging the tournament.

On the same day, the women's team Sreebhumi Sporting also became the champion defeating Mohammedan Sporting women's team by three goals.
