In an exclusive interview with " The Wall"  , Subrata Bhattacharya said, Sunil Chhetri is placed with PK Banerjee and Chuni Goswami. Baichung Bhutia comes after them.

Sunil's name is coming along with Messi and Ronaldo in world football. Most importantly, the three superstars are close in age. Messi is 36, Ronaldo is 38 years old, and Sunil is also 38 years old. India captain's number of goals is 90.

Sunil came into limelight overnight with a hat-trick against the Pak team. Talking about that, brother-in-law Subrata was saying, 'I am not saying that as my son-in-law, Sunil has taken himself to a different level. His hard work, dedication, fitness are all examples to others. I think long with Sunil, the names of PK-Chunida will come. He is talented as a footballer. Sunil's consistency over the last 16 years will be an example to all. Very few players in Indian football have played with such consistency. I think Sunil is also a legend to me.

And Baichung Bhutia? Before the question ended, the former defender said, "Baichung is also good, has played a lot." Played well, scored goals. Hailing from a small town like Sikkim, Baichung knows his caste.
But Sunil is much ahead of him. There will be Baichung outside the sidelines. Sunil is married to Subrata's daughter Sonam. Subrata is going to be a grandfather very soon. In the intercontinental football tournament, Sunil scored a goal in the final and showed enthusiasm by filling the ball inside the jersey. That's how everyone can know that Sunil is going to be a proud father. That exhilaration is there, along with playing with knee-aged teammates and outshining the rest, that is rare in Indian football.
