In a nail-biting final, Bhawanipore FC triumphed in the IFA-organised Futsal Club Championship, edging past United Kolkata Sports Club 4-3 in a tiebreaker. The match had ended in a dramatic 7-7 deadlock in regulation time.
Earlier, Bhawanipore FC stormed into the final with a commanding 8-0 win over Kidderpore Sporting Club, while United Kolkata Sports Club secured their spot with a 5-3 victory against Pathachakra. With this championship win, Bhawanipore FC will now represent Bengal in the National Futsal Tournament.

The grand finale, held on Monday at Howrah’s Sabuj Sathi Indoor Stadium, was followed by a prize distribution ceremony attended by IFA President Ajit Bandopadhyay, Treasurer Debashish Sarkar, Joint Secretary Rakesh Jha, Executive Secretary Sufal Ranjan Giri, Futsal Committee Chairman Ravi Raut, members Shankar Raut and Aparup Chakraborty, CRA President Bholanath Dutta, and Governing Body member Chittaranjan Das.
