The ISL champions started their Super Cup journey like champions. Mariners won 5-1 against Gokulam Kerala. Despite not being in the rhythm in ISL, Liston Colaso made a change in the Super Cup. He scored two goals alone for Mariners. Hugo Bumos, Manveer Singh, and Kian Nasiri also scored. It's like the Mariners took the Durand Cup from Gokulam Kerala. 

From the start of the match, Green Maroons were aggressive. Liston Colasso scored in the first 6 minutes. The Mariners advance. Then Liston scored again in the 27th minute of the match. He is in the old rhythm from the first match of the Super Cup, which will increase Mohanbagan's strength in the next matches. At the end of the first half, Hugo Bumos increased the gap at the end of the 45th minute. Mohanbagan went into the break with a 3-0 lead. 

The Mariners continued to dominate in the second half. Manbir Singh's goal further led the green and maroon. Gokulam's star Sergio scored a goal in the 72nd minute. Mohun Bagan's victory was also assured. Kian Nasiri broke Gokulam's defense and scored in extra time. As a result, India's best Mohun Bagan started their Super Cup journey with a 5-1 win. 

Gokulam Kerala next meets FC Goa on Friday and concludes their Group C assignment against  Jamshedpur FC on April 18.
