Emami East Bengal FC has retained Bino George, the first Pro-licensed coach from Kerala and the coach has signed a three-year contract that is scheduled to end in 2026.

George has been reinstated as the assistant coach of the East Bengal senior team. Simultaneously, he will also be in charge of youth and reserves teams. Bino despite joining East Bengal last year as the assistant coach of the team's senior team under Stephen Constantine, was shifted from his post and given charge of the youth and reserve teams.

The 46-year-old coach from Kerala, who led his state to its seventh Santosh Trophy title in 2022, is renowned for nurturing young talent. Under Bino George's tutelage, promising footballers like Tuhin Das and Athu Unnikrishnan proved their mettle and got promoted to the senior team last year.

Bino who had offers from Kerala Blasters this season, is happy to continue with the red-and-gold brigade. He said, "East Bengal has been like a family to me. I am fortunate to be representing this historic club. It's a huge motivation for me and my boys. After the success with the youth team last season, I now want to help our senior team. I look forward to working with Coach Cuadrat and I am sure that our collective experience will prove beneficial for the first team." The senior team's new coach Carles Cuadrat lauded the decision and said, "Bino is a highly experienced coach and has done a tremendous job with our youth team. His knowledge of Indian football will help our first team immensely, and I look forward to working with him."
