Bengal captain Amit Chakrabarty admits he respects coach Biswajit Bhattacharya most after his parents
Captain of senior Bengal team for the final phase of senior national championship for Santosh Trophy, Amit Chakrabarty paid great attributes to the team's coach Biswajit Bhattacharya commenting, "He is my biggest inspiration. I respect him the most after my parents."
Amit also stressed on the point that under Biswajit Bhattacharya's guidance they are desperate to win Santosh Trophy. He stated, "Biswajit sir is so inspiring and friendly that none of the players hesitate while talking to him. He does not only talk, rectifies our fault through demonstration with ball."
Amit started playing football in Uttarpara. He played there for 12 years under the guidance of Bastav Roy. Then after a brief stint at East Bengal junior, Amit joined George Telegraph where he had the taste of Bhattacharya's coaching for the first time. Amit who plays for Customs FC badly needs a job. "He said, my parents and elder brother helped me a lot. I would not have reached here without their help. But now I need a job."
Amit wants to sign for a professional club. He said he would be happy if any club from ISL calls him. He said, "I want to play in ISL."
The Santosh Trophy final will be held in Dubai this year. But the Bengal team does not want to think about it now. Amit said, 'Now I am thinking about the present. I will think about Dubai later. We want to move forward with a good performance in this round."
