India celebrated a double triumph as Jyoshna Sabar clinched the silver medal.

Indian weightlifter Preetismita Bhoi etched her name in the annals of history, shattering the clean and jerk world record in the women’s 40kg category at the IWF World Youth Championships in Lima, Peru. The 15-year-old dynamo outdid the existing record by a remarkable 1kg on Wednesday, lifting an awe-inspiring 76kg, amid thunderous applause and a wave of national pride.

Bhoi’s stellar performance didn’t stop there. With a snatch of 57kg, she amassed a total effort of 133kg, trailing just 2kg behind the youth world standard on the opening day of the competition.

India celebrated a double triumph as Jyoshna Sabar clinched the silver medal with a total effort of 125kg (56kg+69kg), showcasing the depth of talent within the nation's weightlifting ranks. Fatma Kolcak of Turkey secured the third spot with a total lift of 120kg (55kg+65kg).

The world eagerly awaits Bhoi's extraordinary next breathtaking performance, knowing that this young phenom is destined for even greater heights in the realm of weightlifting.
