The first FIR registered against the Gonda native was under the POSCO Act, for sexual harassment offences against a minor, and the second one was registered pertaining to the complaint filed by the other women wrestlers.
Under fire WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that he is ready to tender his resignation if the wrestlers protesting at the Jantar Mantar agreed to stop their agitation. At the same time he asserted saying, “I do not want to resign being tarnished as a criminal as I know I am innocent.”
He also said that he is happy with the decision of the Supreme Court to allow the police to register two FIRs against him.

“I am satisfied with the decision of the honorable court. The wrestlers have been raising their demands for so many days and they were protesting for the same. They went to the court and the court also took to awareness," Brij Bhushan said.
He added, “The Supreme Court has ordered that an FIR should be registered and the matter be investigated. I am totally content with the decision. I will cooperate in the investigation wherever necessary," he added.
On the basis of the Supreme Court judgment the Delhi Police filed two FIRs against Brij Bhusan Singh, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President on Friday evening.
Under fire President said that he would be happy to resign only if the grapplers withdraw their sit-in protest from Jantar Mantar.
The first FIR lodged against him is under the POSCO Act, for sexual harassment filed by a minor and the second one is based upon the complained lodged by other women wrestlers.
Brij Bhushan said, “I am content with the decision of the honorable court. The wrestlers have been protesting for so many days.” He further added “The Supreme Court has ordered that an FIR should be registered and investigation to be made. I am totally content with the decision and will cooperate whenever necessary.”
Seven women wrestlers including a minor filed a complaint against him on 21st April.
