Taking advantage of Mumbai's 10 men, Mohun Bagan managed to take the lead with a goal from Cummings, making it 1-0. But Mumbai City FC wasn't ready to back down. Just before halftime, Greg Stewart stepped up and scored a crucial equalizer, leveling the playing field.
