Keeping the Sergio Lobera controversy aside East Bengal welcomed Carles Cuadrat. Parallel Sports first revealed the news of the Spanish coach joining the Club replacing Stephen Constantine. Cuadrat signed a two years contract with the club. On the same day while the official release was handed over to Stephen Constantine, the Spanish coach was given responsibility of the team. 
Carles Cuadrat is among the most successful coaches in ISL and is the top favorite among Bengaluru FC fans. During his time Bengaluru got notable success. BFC was a semi-finalist in the AFC Cup in 2016 and champion in ISL in 2019 for the first time. It was under him that the Sunil Chhetri brigade emerged as Federation Cup champion twice. Not only that BFC was runners-up once in I –the league also. It was a golden era for BFC under his coaching. Time will say whether East Bengal regains its old glory under his guidance.
