Chennai Super Kings set a target of 236 runs for KKR after electing to bat first here at Eden Gardens on Sunday. Former Knight Ajinkya Rahane slammed a gallant 71 in 29 balls, packed with six boundaries and five over boundaries, and remained unbeaten. Conway 56 off 40 deliveries and Dube 50 off 21 balls helped CSK pile a total of 235/4 in 20 overs. The KKR bowlers were demolished by the CSK batters.
KKR batsmen were never comfortable against the CSK bowling, especially chasing such a huge total. Wickets fell at regular intervals. Only Jason Roy and Rinku Singh gave a fight but KKR finished 49 runs behind losing eight wickets.
