Chennaiyin FC kicked off their Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 campaign with a thrilling win against Odisha FC by 3-2, on Saturday. The match took place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. 

Initially, Odisha FC led by one goal as Diego Mauricio earned the first goal just 9 minutes into the game. However, Chennaiyin FC staged an impressive comeback in the second half, with Farukh Choudhary scoring twice in quick succession, in the 48th and 51st minutes, turning the match in their favor. Later, another goal was scored at 69 minutes by Daniel Chima Chukwu. The match remained stagnant at 3-1, till the 90 minutes. 

Despite Roy Krishna’s late goal, 5 minutes into extra time couldn't equalise the score for Odisha FC sealing a rather remarkable win for Chennaiyin FC.
