Mohammedan SC is set to face Kerala Blasters on 22nd December, with a depleted squad, as they will play with just 10 men following Mohammed Irshad's red card.
Andrey Chernyshov’s Mohammedan SC is gearing up to face Kerala Blasters in their next match. The head coach in the pre-match conference is still optimistic about the team; he stated, “This is not uncommon in the football world. We have to gradually get out of this situation. Even Manchester City could not secure a win in their last 10 games.”
However, the coach is not confident about securing the Super 6. Both teams enter the match after back-to-back defeats, setting the stage for an intense battle as the Tuskers and Black Panthers look to turn their fortunes around and claim a much-needed victory.
In the past few games, Mohammedan SC has conceded goals in the dying seconds, which has highly affected the match. Highlighting this fact, Chernyshov stated, “It is true that we concede many goals during the last minutes. However, it is about the experience and concentration of our players in the final minutes. We tend to get exhausted quickly towards the last minutes compared to other teams.”
While reflecting on the Kerala Blasters’ attacking stance, Chernyshov stated, “We have to have a strong defence against them. We have to think, we have to speak and talk more about the defence. To make sure to win the game.”
The coach reflected on the challenges of the upcoming away match, emphasising the emotional void left by the absence of their home crowd, saying, “We won’t have the strength of our supporters to lift us, and that makes the battle even harder.”
