Churchill Brothers top brass fumed and frustrated; blasts AIFF's 'bias'

Churchill Brothers are still on top of the League table with 38 points from 20 matches while Inter Kashi, placed on the second position with 35 points from 19 matches so far.

Churchill Brothers who are on the verge of winning the ongoing I-League title might pull out of the mainstream of Indian football if they are again deprived of justice, being compelled to concede a loss against Inter Kashi in their concluding match of the League on 30th March at home.

Churchill Brothers are still on top of the League table with 38 points from 20 matches while Inter Kashi, placed on the second position with 35 points from 19 matches so far. If Inter Kashi can win their 20th match then their points will also be 38 points after the same number of matches and in that case, their tie against the Goan side will be all-important battle for the title.

Aditya Pereira, nephew of Churchill Alemao, one of the club's top officials slammed AIFF's bias when contacted by Parallel Sports stating, "I feel there are people in the Federation who want Inter Kashi to get promoted to the ISL. Otherwise, why Crystal John would have been deputed for the crucial match on Sunday? There was seven minutes' injury time in Sunday's match. The referee played 10 minutes. The referee awarded a spot-kick to Sreenidhi FC against the foul where the respective footballer was in an off-side position!

Aditya also added, “Inter Kashi got three points despite losing to Namdhari. They have been playing their home matches in Kolkata for consecutively three years. How can AIFF allow it? Punjab FC and Mohammedan Sporting won I-League titles as deserving teams. But this time, the corruption is being made blatantly.”

Churchill Alemao has already stated that if similar referring continues then he might pull out of the League. Aditya also gave hints that if injustice prevails then move to court can also be possible in future.

However, Aditya sounded optimistic about winning their last encounter against Inter Kashi and winning the League. "Even if they play 16 players altogether I am optimistic about our victory."
