Cleiton Silva goal enough to earn three points for East Bengal

Cleiton Silva's goal helped East Bengal to move up the points table by three places.

East Bengal earned full three points from their away match against Hyderabad FC in Hyderabad on Saturday. The Red-and-Gold brigade broke the deadlock in the 11th minute through the team’s Brazilian captain Cleiton Silva. Nishu played a cross from the left to Silva inside the box and a simple header over the keeper, helped the away team go ahead.

The captain squandered another opportunity in the 41st minute his punch from inside the box was brilliantly thwarted by Hyderabad FC custodian Gurmeet.

Hyderabad FC did play very well in the second half but failed to find the net, and the crucial goal in the first half was enough for EBFC to take three-points home and move up the points table by three places.

In the 85th minute HFC had almost equalized the scoreline if Jeremy’s header had not rebounded off the far post.
