Cleiton steers East Bengal to earn full points

Cleiton Silva bags the man of the match award

East Bengal beat Hyderabad FC 2-1 in the Indian Super League hosted at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Saturday.

The action filled first half was thrilling as Hyderabad took the lead with Hitesh Sharma finding the back of the net utilising the defensive blunders of East Bengal.

However, within 90 seconds of the goal by Hyderabad, East Bengal's Brazilian forward Cleiton Silva scored a much needed equaliser. Before the first half's regulation time ended, Hyderabad FC's keeper Kattimani had to leave the ground due to his face injury and Anuj Kumar replaced him. 

Almost at the end of the second half due to a foul on Saul Crespo by Hyderabad FC, a free kick was awarded to East Bengal. Silva took the opportunity and with a top corner shot pushed East Bengal towards victory.

The Brazilian forward recieved the Player of the Match award for scoring the all 2 goals for East Bengal, which helped in their this ISL season's first win.
