The members of Bengal's Santosh Trophy-winning team were officially handed government job appointment letters on Tuesday. Previously, the chief minister promised the team members about their employment. The grand ceremony took place at the Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium in the presence of prominent dignitaries. Except for Naro Hari Srestha, everyone is joining Calcutta and state police, as he is already an employee in AG Bihar.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led the event, accompanied by Sports Minister Aroop Biswas, Mayor Firhad Hakim, Education Minister Bratya Basu, and other key members of the state cabinet. Joining them were IFA President Ajit Banerjee, Chairman Subrata Dutta, Executive Secretary Sufal Ranjan Giri, and BOA President Chandan Roy Chowdhury.

The move recognises the contributions of these footballers and reaffirms the state’s commitment to nurturing sports and its athletes.
