Cuadrat is still optimistic about the team’s bounce-back

East Bengal are stuck at 12th position in the ISL table with no point after second match.

Despite two consecutive defeats in the ongoing ISL, East Bengal’s Spanish coach Carles Cuadrat is optimistic that the team will bounce back.

A major section of the East Bengal fans has already started raising their voice against Cuadrat’s coaching. Still, the Spanish coach under whose guidance the Red-and-Gold Brigade won the Super Cup last season, does not seem worried.

After the defeat against Kerala Blasters in Kochi on Sunday, Cuadrat commented during the post-match media conference, “I feel we were unfortunate to concede the defeat despite the fact the boys delivered their best. We had 60 percent possession over the opposition, especially after we broke the deadlock in the 60th minute. But Kerala Blasters bounced back and created more pressure on us in the later part of the match and our defenders fumbled during the phase.”

After the loss against Bengaluru FC, Cuadrat said, “We had to play without a striker for at least 10 minutes when we were trailing 1-0.”

Cuadrat also commented, “It can happen! But I hope we will regain the rhythm soon.”

The fan groups have raised their voices on Prabhsukhan Gill for his poor performance under the bars against Kerala Blasters. Voices are being raised through social-media posts for Debjit Majumder.
