Cuardrat criticizes the calendar for not protecting players

Jose Antonio Pardo is a doubt for East Bengal against Mumbai City.

Cuadrat will stick to his responsibility of protecting his player instead and rotate the squad for tomorrow. The coach said the team needs to be intelligent in replacing their star attacker Cleiton Silva who is suspended for the match. Also, Mumbai City has received nine days to prepare for the match while East Bengal only got one training session.

The Spaniard was unhappy with the defense in the last match and said Lalchungnunga has not hit his level since returning from the Asian Cup. The 23-year-old did not receive a single minute at the tournament and trained under a different mentor, Igor Stimac. So, Cuadrat wants to help the center-back get back to his best.

Goal-scorer on his debut, Felicio Forbes said the time-difference in India is still bothering him. However, he is a professional and will overcome it. The boss also said that Saul Crespo is not out for the season and this is the time for other players to step in during their absence.
