Defending ISL champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant won 2-1 against I-League outfit Sreenidi Deccan in their first group stage match of the Kalinga Super Cup on Tuesday. 

Jason Cummings and Armando Sadiku scored the goal for them after William Alves gave Deccan the lead. It is a huge three points for them who will be up against Hyderabad FC next. 

Sreenidi should however be satisfied with their spirited show in spite of the defeat. MBSG defender Asish Rai was awarded ‘man of the match’ award for his stellar performance. 

Abhishek Suryanwanshi sees a second yellow for a tackle from behind and he gets his marching orders.
