Deepti Sharma is leaving Bengal and set to represent UP

In 2018-19 seasons Deepti was leading run scorer with 487 runs in 11 matches

Indian star cricketer Deepti Sharma has decided to leave Bengal and joining Uttar Pradesh for upcoming domestic season. Already CAB approved her NOC.

Deepti Sharma was honored with the post of DSP by UP govt on January 2024. As per CAB officials, she wanted to move there and they issued the NOC.

Deepti Sharma is key member of Indian Women’s cricket team. She played a crucial role in just concluded Women’s Asia Cup.  Deepti had Joined Bengal on 2017. In her debut season for Bengal, she was the top run scorer. Deepti scored 312 runs in just six matches with an outstanding strike rate of 65.13 in the Senior Women’s One day trophy.

In 2018-19 seasons Deepti was leading run scorer with 487 runs in 11 matches and also picked 22 wickets. This Indian all rounder always delivered her best for Bengal side. However, Deepti did not take part in BPTL due to her national duty. Apart from Bengal, her successful run continues with Indian jersey also. Deepti Sharma claimed eight wickets in Women’s Asia Cup 2024.  

One year ago there was a rumor that Deepti Sharma wanted to leave Bengal side, but Cab Officials convinced her to change the decision. This time Deepti has decided to end her eight years stint with Bengal and will rejoin Uttar Pradesh side. Her come back will be a big boost for UP side before this season. She is also playes for UP Warriors in WPL.
