Four wicket haul by Md Shami restricted DC’s run. GT failed to chase. Hardik’s unbeaten 59 went in vain.
A brilliant final over from veteran Ishant Sharma helped Delhi Capitals to register their third win in nine matches. Defending eleven runs in the last over Ishant dismissed dangerous Tewatia (20) and kept his nerve strong to give just six runs in the over. The visiting team won the game by five wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium. Hardik Pandya’s unbeaten 59 went in vain. Tewatia slammed three consecutive sixes in the penultimate over putting some hopes for the home team.

Aman with Axar Patel added 50 runs on the sixth wicket. Ripal Patel gave a late fight scoring 23 runs. For DC Marsh was replaced by Rossouw as the former was suffering from back pain.
