Delhi FC files a fresh case against Players Status Committee structure on Anwar Ali issue

The next hearing is scheduled for 23rd October.

Delhi FC has added more controversy to Anwar Ali's saga, filing a fresh case against the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Players Status Committee Structure (PSC) on Wednesday. Delhi FC, in its case, has claimed that the PSC does not have two members with legal expertise which was supposed to be according to the Federation's old constitution.

Significantly, the PSC order issued on 19th September giving a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Anwar Ali clearly mentioned that no objections were raised on the structure of the committee despite the fact that one of the PSC members left the PSC since the last hearing related to the case.

However, Anwar Ali is also eligible to take part in East Bengal’s forthcoming ISL derby against Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG) on 19th October as the last hearing on the footballer was also postponed. The next hearing is scheduled for 23rd October.
